The two-day job fair hosted by Infopark turned out to be huge success on its first day with more than 7,000 applicants registering on Friday. As many as 13 companies are participating in the job fair, offering the candidates a wide spectrum of employment opportunities. The recruitment drive is to fill up nearly 2,000 vacancies. Apart from the 7,000-plus online registrations, the fair also got more than 500 walk-in candidates. Most of them were in the age group of 20-35 years.
The job fair, being held on the occasion of Infopark’s 10th anniversary celebrations, has already become a massive hit with job seekers. The fair has two separate registration venues for fresh and experiences candidates. Vacancies are open for iOS/Andriod/PHP developers, technical lead/architects, software engineers, web developers, Java/Python/.Net developers and J2EE/ATG/Hybris/HTMLS specialists. “We are extremely glad to be part of this initiative which has opened up a vast array of opportunities for thousands of people. Most of the companies have reported that around 85% of their requirement for experienced candidates has been filled on the first day itself.” Infopark Chief Executive Officer Hrishikesh Nair said.
Majority of the fresh job seekers who attended the fair were M.Tech, B.Tech, MCA, BCA, MSc, BE and MBA graduates. Opportunities are also available for business analysts, content writers, test engineers, customer support consultants, big data engineers and technical support consultants.
