Young innovative minds joined hands to come up with 22 mobile and web applications at the techathon held at Infopark. Hrishikesh Nair, CEO Infopark inaugurated the Techathon, which was held on 29-30 January 2016, at the Nasscom Startup Warehouse, Infopark, Kochi.
The event was organised by Rapid Value Solutions company with the support of Infopark, NASSCOM, and Start-up Mission. Rinish K. N., Chief Technology Officer of Rapid Value, said that the contest was held to develop programmes and solutions in mobile and web platforms for mobile governance in the State.
‘Beto’ or ‘Better Tomorrow’ is a social media platform that could be moderated by experts in law and prominent personalities from social, cultural and political fields to find effective solutions for various social problems.
Traffic cop, an app developed by young IT talents, offers people a platform to upload images and videos showing over speeding, frequent traffic blocks and traffic rule violations to help police personnel to take prompt and effective remedial action. Coders also developed a mobile application titled ‘Smart phone’ cooking, where one can preset cooking time in stoves fitted with an electronic knob.
