The State Cabinet on 11th November 2015 cleared revised administrative sanction of Rs 2,024 Crore for the 11.2-km stretch of Kochi Metro Rail from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to Infopark through Kakkanad. The proposed stations in the route include Infopark II, Infopark I, Rajagiri, Chittethukura and following 7 consecutive stations till Nehru stadium.
This segment of the project is going to bring great advantage for the techies at Infopark, who take bus routes and other time engrossing routes to get home. Especially in IT sector, which functions 24 X 7 with consecutive day and night, shifts, Metro will be a great advantage for the techy community of Infopark.
The mass rapid transit system (MRTS) will stop at 11 stations — Palarivattom Junction, Palarivattom Bypass, Chembumukku, Vazhakkala, Kunnumpuram, Kakkanad Junction, Kochi SEZ, Chittethukara, Rajagiri, InfoPark I, and InfoPark II on the extended stretch.

Now, women entrepreneurs and techies can travel safely throughout the city anytime.
